Be Still My Heart

I may be a tad bit biased, but I don't think these two could be any cuter even if they tried.
Gosh, I love them.

"B" is for Block

and "L" is for Liza.
She loves her new set of wooden blocks. Fun to play with,
and perfect for cutting those two top teeth.
They haven't appeared yet, but all signs point to their arrival any day now.

*sitting up all by herself in the tub and splashing like crazy
*bye-bye bald spot...her hair is starting to grow!
*learning to use a sippy cup
*likes going out to restaurants and sitting in her booster seat
*thinks Mommy & Me Yoga is a riot

(See those teeth?!?)

Bongo, Bongo

Aunt Gini came to visit us this week, and she brought Liza her very own bongo drum!
She started playing it immediately just like I knew she would.
Thank you, Aunt G! Come back soon!!!

Liza & the Gnome

While Liza and I were soaking up some early morning sunshine, I noticed she had her eye on my garden gnome. I moved him closer so she could get a better look at him. They ended up having quite a nice chat, and I had some delightful breakfast entertainment.

Mama's Little Helper

Never in a million years did I imagine that I'd ever get this far behind in folding the laundry. (I hear you snickering, Arinn!) Perhaps I should be embarrassed to post this picture and admit that I let it get this bad, but this is my life right now. I'm choosing to let some of my perfectionist tendencies slide in favor of other more important things like reading, crafting, and family time. Nevertheless, it had to get done eventually. Liza and I had fun hanging out together while I finally got around to the folding this morning. Her company and babbly conversation made the task a lot more enJOYable!

An Inside Joke

Jake is our resident comedian (at least according to Liza). All he has to do is stand near her, and she cracks up laughing. We're not sure what she finds so funny, but we sure do enJOY her giggles.
