Creative Obedience

I've reminded Liza on a few occasions that Jake & Penny's water bowl is for doggies only. We talked about how we don't like them to lick our cups, so we shouldn't stick our hands in theirs. I came around the corner the other day to find her giving her stuffed dog, Spot, a drink.

Well, I guess I can't argue with that now can I?

I love this one for the dirty window, evidence of all the living we're doing here. I love Liza's reflection in the glass showing me the wonder on her face that I wouldn't have seen without it. I love the little girl and her dog sharing a longing look at the yard that they both love so much.

And this one I love for the sweet relationship it represents. What a privilege to watch them together. The laughter they share and the way both of their faces light up when they see each other. Pure JOY.

Out West

We've been here a week and have made lots of progress toward getting the house unpacked and making it feel like home.  Thank you, Gramommy, for all your help!!

It's hot (and getting hotter), but we're enJOYing the abundant sunshine.

The dogs have adjusted very well and are loving their new backyard.

Our girl has been such a trooper and always keeps us entertained.  

The evenings are delightful...cool breezes, gorgeous sunsets, a glass of wine, and each other.
