Mama's Helper

First, she unpacked the grocery bags. Then, she "unpacked" the fridge.

Easter Ducky

Grandpa & Nana sent an Easter ducky for Miss Liza this week. The box arrived after she was in bed, so I strategically placed the duck in the playroom for her to discover the next morning.
It was love (and squealing, laughing, pointing) at first sight.
Liza can say "duck" which is quite possibly the cutest thing ever.
Well, almost as cute as her cradling her Easter ducky like a little mama.
Thanks, Grandpa & Nana!

Happy Birthday, Lee!

We've spent his birthday apart more times than together. Thankfully, this year he was home to celebrate. We picked out his cake recipe weeks ago and were so excited to finally try it.
Banana chocolate chip with vanilla buttercream...delish!

Even after only a year, I know that this parenting thing is absolutely no joke. So, Linda & Phil, I want to say thank you. Thank you for your love, perseverance, and positive example as you raised this little boy to be a man. Liza and I are lucky girls to have him in our lives!

Sweet Feet

Remember this?
How about this?

Here they are a year later and still just as scrumptious.

At the Park

We visited a new park today. Guess what we saw?!?
Turtles! Lots of them! Babies too! This one was the only one brave enough to stay on his rock while I took his picture.
The duck was a lot more courageous than the turtles. We got pretty close, and Liza kept leaning forward, reaching out, and wishing she could touch it.

This one's for you, Grandpa H!

Liza went to her first classic car show today, supposedly one of the best in America. It was Mama and Daddy's first time too! I'm not sure what Liza loved more...the colors, the sunshine & wind, or all the people to watch. The only thing missing was Grandpa. We know just how happy he would have been to spend hours strolling through that stadium.
Put it on your calendar for next year, GPH!
