At 8 months...

*has 4 new top teeth...that makes 6 altogether!

*loves bananas and mangoes; likes green beans; tolerates peas; has begun to warm up to pears

*claps, claps, and claps some more

*went to her first playgroup and had a blast!

*rolls her tongue

*loves to be outside, especially playing in the grass

Sunny Afternoons

I can count on one hand the afternoons that have been cloudy here in the desert, and the sweltering, too hot to breathe, afternoons are too numerous to number. But, these gorgeously perfect afternoons that Liza and I have been enJOYing the past few days, they more than make up for all the others.

64 degrees

It's finally cooling off here in the desert.

Liza needed long sleeves and a blanket this morning while we were outside with the dogs.

The chilly weather made for two frisky canines and one chatty baby.

Jake and Penny provide endless entertainment, and Liza is their biggest fan.

Peek-a-Boo

The quality of this picture is terrible, but the cuteness, I just couldn't resist.

Toys!

Rather than just letting Mama choose a few, Liza decided to dump the whole basket over. She enJOYed lying amidst her toys and playing with one right after the other.

She's technically supposed to be jumping in her Johnny Jump Up, but Liza's content to twist & swing. I'm just excited that she's finally willing to try out this new vantage point.
